Gorillas will be in Edmonton's River Valley for the start of the Second Annual Edmonton Gorilla Run. This 5 km walk /run has a bit of a twist, it includes a full body gorilla suit with the registration, and YES its yours to keep! Many runners take dressing up to a whole new level. It's a sight to see. We will have water and banana stations en route, Prize's for the top female / male finisher, top fundraiser, most creative gorilla and gorilla team and more! All event proceeds will go towards the expansion of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Makerere University in Uganda. This expansion will allow a greater number of veterinary students to further their education to first protect the mountain and lowland gorillas and then expand to other wildlife throughout Africa.
