The watch is from Hong Kong-based Cheuk Kee Lai, and can be had in brushed stainless steel, black, or with a gold-plate. The shiny front panel works like a mirror until you press it to activate the glowing numbers which shine through from below.
I’m always being asked by the Lady for a quick lend of my iPod Touch, new enough that it’s back is still shiny enough to use as a mirror for some street-side lipstick application. Does anyone know of a brand of stop watch with a large LED display?
Q: I umpire softball games and am tired of the players complaining that I have shorted them on their time for the game. So i'm looking for a stop watch (or a count down timer would be even better) that has a large LED display (something big enough that people could read it from about 20 feet away. It needs to be something that I could somehow attach some strings to so I can hook it to the backstop fence, and it needs to be battery operated. Any ideas?

70's Omega LED digital watch repair?
Q: Hi. I have a vintage Omega Time Computer Watch from the early 70's. It's the one with the old red LED's and a it's classic piece. It has been non-operational since the late 80's and would love to restore it. Replacing the batteries has not brought it back to life. Anyone know of a reputable watch repair person that specializes in vintage LED watches?
A: Did you reset it after you put in the new batteries? Most watches have a reset terminal to make sure it starts up correctly. If you didn't do that, I'd try that. It's going to be difficult, if not impossible, to get the electronics for that watch if it isn't just a reset problem.
