Q: Now according to my book entitled 'Famous Firsts' published in 2003, the first watch to be worn on the moon was an Omega Speedmaster chronograph worn by NEIL ARMSTRONG.
However, according to Wikidepia, the first watch (the Omega Speedmaster) was worn by Aldrin Buzz, Which one was it??

A: Good Question a little bit of history i had never thought of Full records are not available on the present whereabouts of all the Speedmasters worn on the moon but the list set out below is believed to be the best record available.

Of special note, it is understood that Buzz Aldrin's watch was lost in transit in or about 1971 whilst en route to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum whilst Buzz was attempting to loan the item for display. Its current whereabouts are not therefore known. It may well be the first watch worn on the moon. Buzz recounted in his autobiography that, during the EVA, Neil Armstrong left his own Speedmaster in the Lunar Module as a replacement for the in-cabin timer which had malfunctioned

Q: I recently purchased this watch, but I've no idea how to operate the chronograph feature. According to what I've read, the button at 2 o'clock starts it, and the 4 o'clock resets it.

When I press 2 o'clock, the hand on the left dial moves one notch. When I press 4 o'clock, the hand on the right dial moves one notch. You can continue pressing these and notch by notch they do a full revolution. At no time does the dial at the bottom move.

Have they just made it look the part while being non-functional, or am I doing something wrong?

Oh, and please no lecturing on replica watches :) I'm still not prepared to drop more than $1000 on a watch, so this will have to do for now.

A: LOL, sorry, replicas are not the exact same replica of an authentic. Search for replica speedmaster in youtube. There is this guy who knows all there is to the Omega replicas. I think they are imported from China. Just curious, does your replica have a serial number?

You should give it a thought about a new one, they are nice. I have the reduced 3539.50 version. Love it!
