Surely to be one of the most well-received watches of the upcoming SIHH 2010 industry exhibition is A. Lange & Sohne 's Lange 1 Daymatic. Immediately familiar to connoisseurs--yet subtly very different than established models of A. Lange & Sohne's iconic Lange 1 timepiece--the Daymatic introduces the first self-winding movement to appear in the line, as well as a reversal of the classical Lange 1 displays. Where in manually-wound Lange 1 watches the off-centered time display and date are to the left and right hemispheres respectively, the Lange 1 Daymatic switches things 180-degrees. The time display is now oriented to the right, and the date is at left. The latter is kept company by a small seconds subdial and the elegant retrograde scale which presents days of the week in lieu of the long-established power reserve indicator.
