Watches of Switzerland to launch e-tail biz

That online retail is a crucial part of the watch and jewellery retail group’s strategy. The group already sells online under its two other fascias, Goldsmiths and Mappin & Webb, and launching Watches of Switzerland into the online space will give it a complete online offer.

As well as launching Watches of Switzerland online, Aurum has plans to continue to develop its existing online offers, particularly that of Mappin & Webb.

“We are going to develop the online environment and we have already re-skinned the [Mappin & Webb] site,” said Stead. “We have a booming online business for Goldsmiths but Mappin & Webb has been a slow burner.”

A: The A. Lange & Sohne Lange 1 Moonphase has such highly précised and refined movement that the moonphase counter realistically imitates the moon’s orbit with its constant motion. This is not easily achieved compared to other moonphase mens watches where the movement clicks into position once or twice a day.
The straps used are crocodile leather and they are hand-stitched to provide high quality fastening of the leather. Its strap buckle is in similar metal piece as the case chosen. There is also a choice of fold-over clasp for the buckle upon request.
