This is a remarkable gold and diamond engagement/wedding ring circa the early 1920's. Beautiful vine-like gold design with melee diamonds throughout, main stone's shape is round. We don't know too much about jewelry, but we had the ring appraised in 2006 and the official appraisal said: "Round brilliant cut 1.28 ctw S12 clarity G color Diamond set into 14KY Filigree mounting with 30 melee diamonds with combined total weight of .50 ct. Size 4 3/4. The ring was appraised at $14,000 in 2006...diamond and gold values have gone up since then! This is a truly exquisite piece of jewelry. It is in excellent condition, it has the look of a new ring with the "feel" of the delicate antique that it is!
