Most women only dream of the kind of shopping sprees Judy Frankel embarks on three to four times a year.

When she points her finger and proclaims, "I'll take that and that and that," she's in Europe spending many thousands of dollars on fine antiques from France, England, Italy, Belgium and beyond.The catch is, none of the treasures are for her.

Widely known as Metro Detroit's antiques maven, Frankel goes on frequent European buying trips to stock her newly renovated, 9,000-square-foot gallery, Antiques Centre of Troy, which showcases some 4,000 pieces of furniture and accessories at any given time.

She presents diverse styles from different eras in five rooms and two small galleries, and takes great pride in her frequently changing mix.

From 18th century gilt candlesticks and glittering crystal chandeliers to vintage industrial antiques and sleek, mid-century settees, each decorative item is hand-picked to inject timeless beauty and tasteful glam into home decor.
