The last piece of advice is care: the more you wear your watch the more wear you put on it, and the faster the color will wear off. If you are concerned, you can take the watch off whenever you're in circumstances where it might get chipped or knocked up against something. Just make sure that if you put your watch somewhere you are not placing it somewhere where objects will rub against it...for example, don't put it in your pocket with your keys.
